The Honourable Bert Brown
Senate of Canada
Ottawa, Ontario K1A 0A4
Dear Senator Brown,
I was born in the Interior of British Columbia, and raised hunting for
my family's food. My work was with many varied logging companies, and
for a period of time with Environment Canada.
I know what responsible gun ownership means. We were taught RESPECT of
and with firearms, unlike Criminal Element of today!
When Mr. Harper sends you Bill C-19, I ask that you amend this Bill to
remove the requirement to have a licence merely to possess a firearm.
The criminals who do the "home invasions" here in Edmonton,
will never apply for a licence to own the guns that they use to steal
from responsible
Canadians.
Well over Two Billion Dollars, has been wasted on this useless piece
of Legislation, and its Criminalization of responsible, Tax Paying Citizens
is an insult to all Canadians!
Simply ending the "long-gun registry" does not correct this
abuse of honest citizens.
I'd encourage you to be good enough to repeal the Firearms Act - all
of it - to the benefit of all Canadians.
Thank You.
