Newly appointed Minister of National Revenue, The Honourable Carol Skelton, MP, Sasktoon-Rosetown-Bigger, returned from Ottawa to Saskatoon "to offer her encouragement" to the Saskatchewan Party as the official opposition in the Saskatchewan Provincial Legislature held its Annual Convention this past weekend.

Canadian Unregistered Firearms Owners Association members Joe Gingrich, Jack Wilson, & Ed Hudson, on hand as voting delegates, quickly formed a scrum and asked Ms. Skelton for an "on the record interview," to which the Honourable Minister readily agreed.

1st Question:
"Some members of the Responsible Firearms Community, especially on the Firearms Digest, are concerned because Prime Minister Harper did not appoint Mr. Garry Breitkreuz to the Justice Ministry. Should we be concerned ??"

Ms. Skelton: "No, not at all. We are still in the very early stages; committees are still being organized. Mr. Breitkreuz will be very much involved in dismantling the Firearms Act."

2nd Question:
"As you are well aware, most of our members own unregistered firearms. Will you  be amending  the Federal Tax Act to accept obsolete, unregistered firearms as payment for taxes ??"

Ms. Skelton: "Not very likely."
